Re: Tips für iClone
Hier gehts um Kleidung:
1. Add cloth modifier to mesh
2. Select Group within the cloth modifier by clicking on the modifier in the top panel to open its hierarchy and reveal the Group, Panel, Seams and Faces selections.
3. Select the vertices you want to use as pinning points
3. Click on Make Group
4. Name the Group Pin01 and click ok
5. Click on the GROUP button
6. Assign the group to itself Pin01 to Pin01. (this may certainly be unnecessary but I still do it)
7. Add a Mesh Select modifier
8. Open it's heirarchy the same way you did the Cloth modifier
9. Select Vertex
10. Select the same vertices you selected for the Pin01 group. They may be already selected for you.
11. With the group selected type the name of the group into the Selection Set dropdown box on the top toolbar and press the enter key.
12. Export the mesh as a prop.
Go into iClone and set it up as soft cloth, open cloth panel and you should see Pin01.
Please note that you will have to close iClone sometimes and reopen to see the pinning if you re-import the object into the same session after going back and making changes in Max.
This is a very quick list and I hope I didn't leave anything out. Like I said earlier... if so... maybe it will point you in the right direction.

Gizmo ausschalten. Ist rechts oben neben dem "?".
Dann geht´s.
Is total unlogisch - aber das is die Lösung!

Veränderung der Kleidung über die Zeit:
You can use the Blend texture channel for this. It allows adding something like dirt, blushes, and the like, to the main facial texture. Because you can animate the contribution of the Blend channel, you can, for example, make blushes appear and disappear. I don't have iClone in front of me, but searching for Blend in the iClone help should get you started. For example:

GUt aussehendes Shirt:
Attached is the shirt mesh. It'll fit any avatar. Its in a t-pose, so adjust your avatar to match. Set it to soft physics, set the physics world scale to 2, set "By Frame", and hit play.
Go ahead and try out different settings for the shirt cloth as well. The collision margin should be around 2 or 3, and the iterations closer to 50. I run mine at 50. For a different effect, try reducing gravity to -1 and dropping the iterations down to 2 or 1. The cloth becomes "stretchy".

Re: Tips für iClone
I downloaded some of your wonderfull characters , I like especially the lineage
However I noticed a few things: the characters do not have bump and specular map, only difuse. The textures are good but with bump and specular would be even better
Then I see a problem with motions. The loop motions which act in place are ok to work but when you have a motion with translation (involve character moving in a direction) and then you add another motion, then the character first go back to initial pose then continue the motion. I don’t know if you understand – I give an example : in a motion the character walk from A to B.(he actually walks , the motion is not in place) So I apply the motion and the character walk from A to B. Then I apply the motion again and I expect the character to continue from B forward. But the character go back to A and then continue the motion. This happen with your motion
Any idea?
You have to align the root, on the next motion!
Re: Tips für iClone
This has been a fairly common problem.
In my case Characters can disappear off-screen when a motion is applied when the Preview Camera isn't centered on the World Axis.
My solution, which I've Posted before is to;
1) Select the Character in Scene Manager.
2) Select the Home Toolbar Icon
3) The Character will be postioned on the World Axis (Selecting Show Grid & World Axis confirms this). The applied Motion will perform from there.
4) Select Character Link to.
5) Link Character to any Object in the original Camera position, to get it back in view..
6) Unlink & re-postion to it's original position. The Applied Motion will now Perform in it's original postion.
In your case - Substitute Character for Prop & no need to Unlink in 6) Just Link & Postion in 5).
You probably don't need to Select the Home Icon. Just Select the Prop in Scene Manager & Re-Link it to the Parent. .

Aus dem iClone Forum:
So here it is again:
- ONLY AT 3DSMAX:
- Load or create the object you want to add pins to.
- Add a MeshSelect Modifier to it, on TOP of the modifier stack.
- Using the select tool of your choice selet the vertex you want to be pinned.
- Using the Selection Set naming dialog on top menu, Name the vertext pin selection you just did, such as "HushHushPins" !!! [BigGrin]
- Using iClone 4 Export plugin (NOT 5) Export your object AS A PROP!
- Import your object prop into iClone.
- Select it and set its physics attributes to SOFT.
- Press Shift-Alt-S to get to the the Soft Attributes dialog.
- Find the pinning dialog there and proceed with pinning as you have done with the included soft cloth props.

Lipsync in iClone schnell erklärt:
why dont you just get the g5 avatar into max and overlay the mesh you want to lip sync, more or less exactly the same as to the rl head then get into wire mode, move the facial bones of the rl face to match that of the custom mesh then rename the mesh to that of the rl mesh and then convert to g5 character with new mesh overlaid , then in iclone just opacity the rl skin,, and hey presto lip sync character........works for me,and saves a lot of faffing about like in some of the stuff above

Re: Tips für iClone
Aus dem RL Forum:
Daz long dress rigging is not optimised for iClone at all. Normally you will get shins passing through if you use the short dress rigging template. You can use the bodysuit, but it will rig as pants (not really blended enough). The templates for the transfer utility do not have a projection template for a "long dress" option. The trick is to leave the projection template setting at "none", click on "show options" and check the box for "use near vetices". This is an alternate rigging method, and does pretty much what it sounds like.
